UNHCR/AUF UNIV’R Programme: University Corridor to France for Refugees

Closing Date: –

Funded Master’s courses in France in a broad array of disciplines are available to refugees in any first country of asylum outside the European Union.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is a United Nations agency tasked with supporting and protecting refugees. UNHCR was founded in 1950 following the refugee crisis sparked by the Second World War.  The agency provides assistance in emergencies, advocates for improved asylum laws while seeking long-term solutions for displaced people.

The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF – Francophone University Agency) is composed of more than 1,000 universities, university networks and scientific research centres that use French in more than 100 countries. It promotes scientific excellence, innovation, best practices and collaborative projects between francophone higher education establishments and research institutes.

The UNIV’R programme, operated by UNHCR and AUF, intends to support Master’s study in France for refugees. The programme will provide its beneficiaries with access to the university system as well as administrative, social and financial support, including a study and living grant for the total duration of the Master’s.

The programme is open to a broad array of disciplines. A complete list of available courses is downloadable from the call page
