UK Carbon Capture Storage Research Centre Launches 2022 Round of ECR Collaboration Fund
Funding from the EPSRC UKCCSRC to enable early career researchers to collaborate with experts outside their home institution on areas within carbon capture and storage through the provision of support for travel.
The UK Carbon Capture Storage Research Centre (UKCCSRC) is supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) through the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Energy Theme.
UKCCSRC operates the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Collaboration Award to enable ECRs to collaborate with experts outside their home institution on areas within CCS, through the provision of support for travel. The collaborations can be within the UK or with relevant overseas organisations.
Applicants must be a UKCCSRC ECR member. Applicants should be either a PhD student in the field or still eligible for the EPSRC New Investigators Award. Full details of UKCCSRC ECR eligibility criteria are available here.
The fund will cover travel, accommodation, subsistence, laboratory costs and insurance costs associated with the collaboration.
A total of £20,000 is available to support a number of applicants. The exact number of funded applications will depend on both the quality of the proposals received and the available budget. Priority will be given to those that can complete their activities before 31 December 2022.
Applications should be submitted by the 27 July 2022 (13:00) deadline.
