Funding from the Supergen Energy Storage Network+ to support Early Career Researchers’ outreach and public engagement projects within the hub’s scope.

The Supergen Energy Storage Network+ (SESN+) is a £1 million platform established by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) that connects and serves stakeholders across the whole energy community, advancing and championing UK energy storage research and deployment.

The SESN+ Early Career Researchers (ECRs) Outreach Fund is designed to empower ECRs to conceive and implement outreach and public engagement projects within the hub’s scope, contributing to their career development.

The objectives of the fund are as follows:

  • Strategic alignment with the ECR’s development within the Energy Storage Network’s field.
  • Promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in engineering across various age groups and backgrounds.
  • Leadership in STEM activities.
  • Engagement of underrepresented groups in engineering.
  • Encouragement of creative public engagement with the ECRs.

Applications will be accepted on relevant topics within the hub’s scope and the ECR committee’s focus, ensuring alignment with the stated aims and objectives.
