Sea-Changers Marine Conservation Grant

Small grant awards for projects that address the root causes and add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.

Sea-Changers is a marine conservation charity that provides several grant funds to support communities, groups and non-profit organisations working to raise awareness of marine conservation and protect the UK’s seas, shores and wildlife.

The Sea-Changers Marine Conservation Grants support UK-based charities and other non-profit organisations, including educational institutions, carrying out marine conservation projects and related activities.

Projects must aim to achieve one or more of the following objectives:

  • Address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
  • Prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and/or species.
  • Add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK

Sea-Changers is particularly interested in grassroots projects that galvanise community action and projects that increase the number of people taking action for marine conservation., including citizen science.

Partial funding for projects can be considered, providing applicants can describe which elements of the project the Sea-Changers grant will be used to fund.
