Funding is available to support scientific projects linked to animal biodiversity conservation in its broadest sense, focusing on one or several animal species.

Field trips and stays at a zoo, aquarium, museum or institution are eligible. Multi-institution projects are encouraged but not mandatory. Projects involving the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) are preferred, but the involvement of a zoo or aquarium is not mandatory.
