OeAW Edward Zakarian Award

Award to recognise an outstanding doctoral dissertation in Armenology and Iranian Studies completed at a university in Europe within the previous two years.

The Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW – Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften) is the leading Austrian non-university institution for science and research. Its mission is to promote the sciences and humanities in every respect and in every field, particularly in fundamental research.

OeAW presents the Edward Zakarian Award to recognise an outstanding doctoral thesis on Armenology and Iranian Studies completed at a university in Europe in the previous two years. Any applicable field of study will be considered, including the humanities and cultural studies as well as political science, law, and sociology.
