IUK’s UK-Singapore Collaborative Call Targets Net Zero Future

Grants are available for UK businesses, collaborating with Singapore businesses, for research projects developing sustainable technologies to reduce emissions.

The UK-Singapore Sustainability and Net Zero Competition aims to fund business led, collaborative research and development projects focused on net zero and sustainability.

Projects supported through this Innovate UK competition must centre around industrial research, with innovative proposals developed between the UK and Singapore.

Funded projects must directly address sustainability and net zero challenges, incorporating key technological areas such as Agrifood, Clean Energy and Renewables, Green Buildings, Sustainable Manufacturing, and Urban Mobility.

Up to £5 million has been allocated to fund industrial research projects. Grant requests of up to £750,000 are accepted.

To lead a project, an organisation must be a UK registered business of any size. It must partner with a Singapore registered business, which must be a separate non-linked entity to the UK project partners.

As a UK partner, to collaborate with the lead, an organisation must be a UK registered business of any size, academic institution, or research and technology organisation (RTO).

The deadline for applications is 6 December 2023.
