IUK Media Cymru Funds

UK registered organisations based in South Wales can apply for a grant to develop innovative products, services or experiences for the media sector, and/or reduce the carbon footprint of the screen industry in the Cardiff Capital Region.

This competition is delivered by Innovate UK (IUK), on behalf of Media Cymru. Media Cymru’s aim is to turn the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) into a global hub for media innovation with a focus on green and fair economic growth.

These Media Cymru Funds are split across two separate programmes:

• The Scale up Fund aims to deliver innovative products, services and experiences to identified challenges and opportunities within the media industry in Wales through R&D grant funding. Proposals must demonstrate the potential to positively impact on the economy of the Cardiff Capital Region.
• The Greening the Screen Fund aims to support UK registered organisations to scale-up sustainable products, services and processes that will green the screen industry in the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR).
