IUK Launches EUREKA Collaborative R&D: UK Sweden Aerospace 2020 Competition

Through this competition, administered by Innovate UK (IUK), UK businesses can apply for funding to develop aerospace technology in partnership with businesses from Sweden and organisations from other EUREKA nations. Projects must align with the national aerospace strategies of the UK and Sweden.

The programme welcomes project ideas covering any aspect of civil aerospace or aeronautics. IUK reserves the right to apply a ‘portfolio’ approach for the selection of projects and is actively looking to fund across a variety of technologies.

The programme is funding UK participants to carry out collaborative research and development projects focused on industrial research which have strong market potential for the UK and Sweden.

There is a total of £2.25 million available. A project’s total eligible costs should be between £250,000 and £1.5 million. This includes costs from all partners, from the UK and Sweden.

This competition is open to collaborations only. To be eligible, the collaboration must include at least one UK registered business of any size and at least one Sweden registered business. The collaboration can include other UK registered businesses, research organisations, public sector organisations or charities. It can include other EUREKA member nation businesses of any size, or research organisations.

The closing date for applications is 1 July 2020 (13:00 BST).
