International Glaucoma Association UKEGS Annual Research Grant Open for Applications

The International Glaucoma Association (IGA) and UK and Eire Glaucoma Society (UKEGS) co-fund a research grant to support high quality research that enhances the detection and treatment of glaucoma, as aligned with the priorities set by the Sight Loss and Vision Priority Setting Partnership.

Researchers and departments based in the UK and Ireland are able to apply for grants of up to £60,000 to fund clinical and laboratory-based research into the causes and prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment or improving the quality of life of people of all ages living with glaucoma and allied conditions.

The IGA generally encourages patient orientated research and research directly concerned with the improvement of the management of glaucoma. Applications for research into paediatric glaucoma are particularly welcomed.

Application forms are available for download from the IGA website.

Completed applications must be submitted by the deadline of 18 October 2019.
