International Association for the Study of Pain Grants to Support International Research Collaboration

The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) is the leading professional forum for science, practice, and education in the field of pain. Membership of IASP is open to all professionals involved in research, diagnosis or treatment of pain.

The Association awards two Collaborative Research Grants per year to support international, interdisciplinary research collaborations by two or more groups located in different countries, with an emphasis on collaborations among basic, translational, and clinical scientists. The award meets costs associated with the collaboration, rather than the proposed research.

The Principal Investigator must be a member of IASP of at least one year’s standing and should be at a professional level of independence (ie a faculty-level academic appointment).

Two grants of up to $15,000 are available.

Eligible costs include travel and accommodation necessary to facilitate the proposed research.

The call for 2019 IASP Collaborative Research Grant proposals will open 17 January 2019 with a closing date of 4 April 2019 (11:59 pm Eastern US Time).
