Harrington Scholar Award for Coronavirus Opens Today for Applications

The Harrington Discovery Institute’s Scholar Award for Coronavirus is a charitable grant that provides researchers with funding, expert guidance and oversight in all aspects of drug development. An experienced drug development team will support work on Coronavirus and its co-morbidities, as follows:

Redirect late-stage research.

Support existing Coronavirus projects.

Increase impact of other funding.

Advance early stage therapies for future deadly viruses.

This is a one-year programme, and the Institute anticipates up to ten projects will be selected and launched.

Applicants should:

Hold an MD, PhD or equivalent.

Hold a faculty position at an accredited medical centre, university, or research institution.

Be resident, or have a valid permit to work, in the United Kingdom, United States, or Canada during the period of the grant.

Have a single PI who will be responsible for project oversight and financial management.

Project budgets should not exceed $150,000 over the one-year period.

Applications should be submitted by the deadline of 1 May 2020.
