GSO Leadership Academy

Programme to support the career development of German-speaking researchers with international research experience who are planning a career in Germany.

German Scholars Organization e.V. (GSO) aims to promote Germany as a research base. The objective is to encourage German scholars who are living and working abroad to return to Germany, thus furthering international scientific exchange and dialogue. Scientists and researchers from other areas are supported.

The GSO Leadership Academy supports early to mid-career researchers from all disciplines who are currently working outside of Germany or who have recently returned to Germany. The fellowship programme is intended to further the fellows’ career development through a programme of career training, networking events and individual coaching sessions. The programme supports 25 aspirational scientific leaders each year.

The Leadership Academy is funded and supported by Klaus Tschira Stiftung (Klaus Tschira Foundation) and TU9, the alliance of German Universities of Technology.
