Fast Funding for COVID-19 Science Open to Applications

Fast Grants is a funding programme which aims to expedite COVID-19-related science. Grants are available to individuals and labs affiliated with academic organisations in need of additional funding to complete projects to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme has now opened a second call for submissions. Researchers outside the US are eligible for funding.

Applicants must be:

A Principal Investigator at an academic institution.

Already working on a project that could help with the COVID-19 pandemic within the next six months.

In need of additional funding to complete the project.

Funding of between $10,000 to $500,000 is available.

Decisions under the second call will be made within 14 days, rather than within 48 hours. This is because the science has now advanced to the point that deeper analysis of submissions will often prove valuable. Neverthless, Fast Grants retain the flexibility to make immediate approvals where necessary.
