Extended Description

The European Society for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) is the leading European organisation for individuals and national societies for Anaesthesia, Critical Care, Pain and Perioperative Medicine. Its objectives are to promote the professional role of anaesthesiologists and to improve perioperative patient outcomes by ensuring quality of care and patient safety.

ESAIC administers a range of grants to promote anaesthesia- and intensive care-related research in Europe and to encourage anaesthesiologists and intensivists to extend the frontiers of their practice.

The Andreas Hoeft’s Grant is available to ESAIC members for projects on a topic within the field of anaesthesia, including pilot projects and projects already in progress.

Eligible fields/areas of research include:

  • Clinical research
  • Translational research
  • Experimental research
  • Patient safety research

Priority will be given to topics that have no alternative sources of funding.
