Emerald Open Research Publishing Fund for COVID-19 and Pandemic Research
Emerald Open Research is an open access publishing platform that is structured to enable the rapid publication of research aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The platform publishes a range of research outputs, from original research articles to case studies and data notes.
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, Emerald Publishing has launched a £20,000 fund to support Article Processing Charges (APC) for social sciences research relevant to the COVID-19 outbreak and similar healthcare emergencies that is submitted for publication on Emerald Open Publishing.
The aim of the fund is to enable social sciences researchers to disseminate timely and relevant findings vital to the prevention, management and understanding of the wider societal impact of COVID-19.
Research should be related to the prevention, management and impact of a public healthcare outbreak and must meet Emerald Open Research’s editorial policies and author guidelines.
Eligible research themes include:
Workplace management and planning
HR practices and employment procedures
Government policies and procedures
New technologies and innovations
Health care systems, services and funding
Mental health and wellbeing implications
Education and learning accessibility
Responsible leadership and management
Hospitality and tourism
Economic implications and planning procedures
Supply chain management
Applicants should submit their research via Emerald Open Research.
Subject to approval following editorial checks and peer review, the Article Processing Charges will be funded by Emerald.
