Funding to enable promising investigators to encourage and promote quality research in chest medicine to begin their career as independent research faculty.
The CHEST Foundation is the patient-focused philanthropic arm for the American College of Chest Physicians. The CHEST Foundation was established in 1996. Its mission is to champion lung health by supporting clinical research, community service, and patient education.
Within the framework of the CHEST Foundation Young Investigator Research Grant Request for Proposals, funding is available to enable promising investigators to encourage and promote quality research in chest medicine to begin their career as independent research faculty.
Funds are to be used to facilitate basic or applied clinical research by a young investigator in the field of chest medicine. Research into any aspect of chest medicine will be considered. Projects must demonstrate how it will have a positive impact on the lung health of a community.
Higher-level translational research project are preferred, and basic (cellular or animal) research projects will not be considered.
