Project grant to support research to improve supportive care of children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer.

The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) is a leading support charity for children and young people with cancer and the professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer in the UK and Ireland. CCLG is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) and provides a range of funding from its own resources, partner charities and named funds to support research in identified areas of need.

The CCLG Supportive Care Small Project Grant will support a new, well-defined research projects to address key questions for the supportive care of children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Research should improve understanding of the issues associated with the treatment of children and young people with cancer and the care needs associated with this, and ultimately contribute to improvements in the quality of life for these patients.

All areas of research related to the supportive care of children and young people who are cancer patients will be considered. Projects may focus on a single children’s cancer type, or children and young people’s cancers more broadly.

Grants may support stand-alone projects, delineated research that forms part of a wider project, or scoping research that is likely to lead to a larger project.
