BSPP MSc/MRes Bursary Scheme Now Open

This bursary supports students undertaking an MSc/MRes course that has plant pathology content.

The British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP), a registered charity, was founded in 1981 for the study and advancement of plant pathology.

BSPP’s MSc/MRes Bursary supports students undertaking a Master’s (MSc/MRes) course at a university or research institution that has significant plant pathology content. Students do not have to be existing BSPP members and do not have to be based in the United Kingdom.

Five bursaries of up to £4,000 are available per year. Candidates will also be given free BSPP membership for two years. Bursaries can be used to support students in a variety of ways, such as:

  • Contributing to course fees.
  • Paying accommodation or other living costs.
  • Supporting costs incurred in visiting another institution to undertake a research project.

Funds are paid directly to the student rather than the university or department.

Applications must be submitted by the deadline of 30 June 2022.
