British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy COVID-19 Funding Call

The British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC) has launched the COVID-19 Funding Call to support research projects that aim to better understand and address the COVID-19 outbreak. Members and non-members from any organisation worldwide can apply for grants of up to £25,000. Requests for larger grants may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Funding is available for:

New projects

Extension of existing projects

Expenditure of staff or consumables

Projects should be consistent with the aims of the Society, which are “To improve the prevention and treatment of infectious disease, and to promote the appropriate and effective use of antimicrobial agents.”

Applicants should first submit an expression of interest by the deadline of 17 April 2020.

Proposals will be subject to a rapid peer-review process.

The Society is also seeking support from virologists with research experience who are able to act as grant referees for the peer-review process.
