B Braun-Stiftung Offers Funding for Three Opportunities Aimed at Healthcare Researchers and Professionals

The B Braun-Stiftung (B Braun Foundation) is an independent and non-profit foundation for modern medicine in Germany. It serves scientific progress by supporting researchers, doctors, nurses and other professionals working in the healthcare sector with its scholarships, research funding and leadership programmes.

The B Braun-Stiftung currently offers funding for three opportunities: clinical research projects, scholarships, and events for further education and training. These support healthcare researchers, professionals and students in Germany, while the project grants are specifically aimed at early career scientists. Further details of the calls are as follows:

B Braun-Stiftung Medical and Healthcare Research Project Grants

The B Braun-Stiftung Medical and Healthcare Research Project Grants (Fördermittel für Forschungs- und Pflegeforschungsprojekte) support young scientists to carry out clinical research projects or experimental research projects with a direct clinical connection to human medicine and medical technology.

In addition to the regular funding of research projects, the foundation invites applications for projects in 2024 on the topic of ‘Ideas and innovations for integrating outpatient and inpatient care – digital and patient-oriented’. These projects should present and scientifically test new approaches to the integration of outpatient and inpatient care, with the new approaches putting digitalisation and patient orientation equally in the focus of their considerations. Priority is given to projects that include several professional groups from nursing, medicine, pharmacy and administration.

Eligible to apply are clinically oriented early career scientists who have at least completed their Master’s degree.

For regular projects, funding of up to €30,000 is provided. For projects focusing on the 2024 topic, funding of €30,000 to €50,000 is provided.
