UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £1 billion for R&D and capital projects that will help industrialise the electrified automotive supply chain at scale in the UK.
This Automotive Transformation Fund competition is formally delivered in partnership between the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), Innovate UK, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Department for International Trade (DIT).
The Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF) aims to establish and support industrialisation of a high-value, competitive and sustainable electrified automotive supply chain in the UK. The programme offers funding for both industrial research and capital projects.
Applications can focus on one of these:
- Capital investment only
- Capital and associated R&D activity
Capital projects will be managed through the Automotive Transformation Fund capex team and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
