APF Satellite Symposium Grants

Grants to support the organisation of satellite symposiums to promote research on pulmonary fibrosis.

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is a UK charity that focuses on supporting people with pulmonary fibrosis and providing guidance and education to assist medical professionals. Its research funding programme targets research that has the potential to contribute to the discovery of an effective treatment or cure, or accelerate change that will enable people with pulmonary fibrosis to live well for longer.

The Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis research priorities are based on four broad areas to address unmet needs in pulmonary fibrosis research, which include:

• Early and accurate diagnosis
• Development of effective treatments or a cure
• Enabling patients, carers and families to live well for longer
• Understanding of the biological basis of pulmonary fibrosis

Within the scope of its Conference Grants programme, the APF offers Satellite Symposium Grants to support the organisation of satellite symposia, associated with other medical conferences and meetings, to promote and present research on pulmonary fibrosis.
