2022 EIT Awards Open for Nominations
Awards promoting European innovation through ground-breaking products, projects and services.
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Awards promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe and contribute to the branding of the EIT in Europe and globally. The annual EIT Awards are considered an essential instrument to demonstrate the EIT and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities’ (KIC) achievements to stakeholders as well as citizens.
The 2022 EIT Awards cover five categories:
- EIT Venture, recognising successful entrepreneurial start-ups that have been supported by the innovation communities through dedicated business creation or business development processes
- EIT CHANGE, celebrating graduates of EIT-labelled education programmes who spur innovation and entrepreneurship and bring about a change in the areas addressed by the EIT and its KICs
- EIT Innovators, recognising KIC innovation teams composed of individuals from across the knowledge triangle that have developed a product, service or process with a high potential for societal and economic impact
- EIT Women Leadership, recognising the outstanding work and achievements by exceptional women from the EIT Community
Each KIC will nominate one candidate / team for the EIT Venture, EIT Innovators and EIT Women Leadership Awards and also one for the EIT CHANGE Award (in case the KIC has EIT labelled programmes). EIT CHANGE and EIT Women Leadership awards individuals and EIT Venture and EIT Innovators awards teams which are represented by one person.
Award winners in each category will receive a monetary prize of €50,000. Second and third-place winners will receive a monetary prize of €20,000 and €10,000 respectively.
Nominations must be submitted by 11 March 2022 (17:00 CET).
