2019 CLGE Young Surveyors Prize Open
In cooperation with the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency, the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors (CLGE) has launched the eighth edition of the CLGE European Students’ Contest.
The contest is aimed at rewarding young people for their work in various surveying-related areas.
Prizes of €1,000 per winner or winning team and the participation in the Stuttgart INTERGEO are available.
European students can submit papers in the following five categories:
1. Geodesy, Topography
2. Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus (or a combination of two or the three subjects)
3. GIS, Mapping
4. Cadastre and Property Surveying
5. Students and youngsters engagement
The academic part of the contest, ie the first four categories, is restricted to bachelor and master students. PhD students are not allowed. The fifth category (youngsters engagement) is also open for Young Surveyors (as defined by FIG ie 35 years or younger or registered as surveyor for less than 10 years).
Submitted papers must be written in English. The Award Ceremony is planned to take place during INTERGEO in Stuttgart on 18 September 2019. Winners (one delegate per winning team) get their travel expenses and a one night stay reimbursed.
The deadline for submissions is 29 July 2019 (23.00 CET).
