Women STEM Award

Annual international award to honours outstanding research of female STEM students and graduates.

The main objective of the national initiative MINT Zukunft schaffen! (Creating a STEM Future!) is to promote STEM degree programmes (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology) at universities and schools in Germany. The network comprises the majority of initiatives and activities of German companies, designed to overcome the shortage of young people with scientific and technical qualifications.

The Women STEM Award honours German and international female students and graduates from the fields of mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology. The award will consider Bachelor’s thesis, Master’s thesis as well as other types of creative development of a concept.

For the 2022 award, the thematic focus is on the following topics:

• Digital leadership.
• Human factor and IT security.
• Helpdesk monitoring.
• Data science in HR, IT, procurement, etc.
• Digital upskilling.

The scheme is administered by VMM Verlag + Medien Management Gruppe GmbH (VMM Publishing House + Media Management Group) and co-supported by Uniper SE.
