The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation (FLF) CURE FL Awards
Closing Date: 04/02/2022
Funding from the Follicular Lymphoma Foundation to conduct two-year long projects that have the potential to lead to a cure for follicular lymphoma.
The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation (FLF) was established in 2019 to help people with follicular lymphoma (FL) ‘to live well and get well’. The charity’s mission is to lead new and determined efforts to find cures for FL.
The FLF’s Curative Research to Eliminate Follicular Lymphoma (CURE FL) awards provide funding for up to four research grants lasting up to two years to support pre-clinical or clinical research focused on the development of cellular immunotherapy or targeted therapy for FL. The awards are managed and administered by the Milken Institute Center for Strategic Philanthropy.
Projects should seek to accelerate the development of therapeutic candidates that have the potential to cure FL at first relapse, either as monotherapy or in a combination approach. They should target the areas of treatment identified by the FLF as the most likely to deliver rapid progress towards cure, namely: cellular immunotherapy, CAR-T (chimeric antigen receptor T cells) and others, and also targeted therapies either as standalone treatments or in combination with other treatments.
The funders will consider the potential of projects to progress to a clinical trial or be applied directly to patient treatment in the near term. High-risk, high-reward projects and applications submitted by cross-functional or cross-organisational teams are encouraged, and applicants are encouraged to think creatively in their approach.
