Grants for Departments of Economics and groups within UK universities to organise outreach activities that aim to increase diversity in undergraduate economics students.
The Royal Economic Society (RES) is a membership association and charity whose aim is to promote the study of economic science. In addition to the publication of its scientific journals and the production of its annual conference, RES also provides resources and grant support to students, teachers and researchers in the field of economics.
The RES Discover Economics Grant provides funding to departments of economics and groups at UK universities organising outreach activities designed to increase diversity in undergraduate economics students. Grants will support projects or events for students and sixth formers that combine talks, interactive games and networking/ career opportunities.
Target groups include, for example, state schools (especially academically non-selective), women and ethnic minorities.
