Prostate Cancer UK Career Acceleration Fellowships
Closing Date: –
Research fellowship to enable promising early career postdoctoral researchers to pursue their own research goals and accelerate their career trajectories.
Prostate Cancer UK is the largest national men’s health charity, with the mission to improve the care and welfare of those affected by prostate cancer, raise public awareness and increase investment in research.
Prostate Cancer UK’s research investment strategy has been formulated to address three key areas where there are gaps in knowledge or expertise:
- Better diagnosis (including risk stratification & disease prognosis).
- Better treatment (for both localised & advanced disease, including improved prediction of which treatments will be effective for an individual).
- Better prevention.
The Career Acceleration Fellowships provide funding for the most promising early career postdoctoral researchers to pursue their own independent research goals, and accelerate their career trajectories to ultimately ensure they make the biggest impact for men affected by prostate cancer.
These awards are designed to help researchers build a network outside of their home institution (and ideally outside the UK). It’s their opportunity to establish collaborations and learn new skills & techniques from the best research environments to help them carve out their own niche and become an independent leader in prostate cancer research.
The duration of the fellowship must be between three to four years and projects must align with PCUK’s research strategy.
This call replaces the previously named Travelling Prize Fellowships.
