MRF/Versus Arthritis Career Development Fellowships for Mid-Career Researchers in Child and Adolescent Musculoskeletal Pain

Fellowships to support mid-career researchers conducting research into child and adolescent musculoskeletal pain whilst also making the transition to research independence.

The Medical Research Foundation (MRF) and Versus Arthritis have established two new fellowships to support research in the field of child and adolescent musculoskeletal pain and the development of researchers working in this field.

The Career Development Fellowships for Mid-Career Researchers provide funding over four years to support mid-career researchers making the transition to research independence while conducting research that will increase understanding of the mechanisms underpinning child and adolescent musculoskeletal pain, and improve diagnosis, treatment and pain recovery.

Research can address musculoskeletal pain in children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 25. Research areas could include, but are not limited to:

  • Understanding of the biological mechanisms involved in the development of child and adolescent musculoskeletal pain.
  • Long term outcomes and potential for change.
  • Treatment and interventions for child and adolescent musculoskeletal pain.
