Minerva Foundation – Rosenzweig Fellowship

Funding for scholars of German-Jewish Studies across the humanities to conduct research for up to nine months at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.

The Franz Rosenzweig Minerva Research Center at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem supports the study of German and German-speaking Jewry in history, philosophy, literature and arts. The Centre’s Rosenzweig Fellowship Programme aims to bring together doctoral and post-doctoral scholars from a variety of disciplines, including history, philosophy, literature, and cultural studies, to conduct research on a given annual topic at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.

The theme of the 2023/2024 academic year is ‘The German-Jewish Quotidian’. The focus is on the study of German-Jewish everyday life, ordinary language, and popular culture. Research stays start in October 2023 and end in June 2024.

The scheme is funded by the Minerva Foundation (Minerva Stiftung GmbH).
