LUPUS UK Research Grants
Closing Date: 23/09/2022
Research funding for smaller pilot studies, basic science and medical meetings to help understand the causes, prevention and treatment of lupus.
LUPUS UK is a registered charity supporting people with systemic lupus and discoid lupus and assisting those approaching diagnosis. Lupus mainly affects women and is an incurable immune system illness where too many antibodies are produced, leading to inflammatory processes anywhere in the body.
The charity’s Research Grants seek to support applications that focus on the following:
- Smaller pilot studies, which will lead to applications to major funders for large-scale research trials.
- Enabling grants for basic science support, which would enable larger projects by providing essential data for large grant applications.
- Medical meetings, which would facilitate improvements to the understanding of the causes, prevention and treatment of lupus, and its research.
LUPUS UK is willing to work collaboratively with other charities where research interests overlap.
