Fellowship funding over three years to support early-career researchers undertaking research in the area of mental health of people with type-1 diabetes.
MQ: Transforming Mental Health and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) are co-funding a research fellowship under the 2022 MQ Fellows Award round to support research into the mental health of people with type-1 diabetes (T1D).
The MQ Fellows Award provides funding over three years for early career researchers working on challenging questions that will contribute to transformative advances in mental health research. MQ aims to support the most promising early career scientists, clinician-scientists and researchers working to launch their independent research careers in the field of mental health.
The JDRF/MQ Mental Health Research Fellowship will support research in the area of mental health in type-1 diabetes including, but not limited, anxiety, depression and diabetes distress.
Projects should focus on genuine impact by charting, informing, developing and/or testing preventative or therapeutic interventions and scalable solutions. Research can be based in the laboratory, clinic or field and may involve theoretical, experimental, social science or medical humanities approaches.
