EPSRC Research Aligned with Cybersecurity Research Institutes
Closing Date: 11/10/2022
Funding from the EPSRC to establish research projects aligned with the four EPSRC-National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) research institutes.
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) has launched this opportunity to support at least eight research projects that address national security challenges of strategic importance. Projects should specifically align with the four EPSRC-National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) research institutes:
- Research Institute for Sociotechnical Cyber Security, hosted by University College London
- Research Institute in Verified Trustworthy Software Systems, hosted by Imperial College London
- Research Institute in Trustworthy Interconnected Cyber-physical Systems, hosted by Imperial College London
- Research Institute for Secure Hardware and Embedded Systems, hosted by Queen’s University Belfast.
Applicants must specify which research institute their project is aligned with and why. Projects are welcomed that span the remit of more than one of the research institutes, but applicants must state which research institute is the priority.
Research must be mission or user inspired rather than purely fundamental. Project partners should therefore be included in proposals. Applicants should also consider national security in the context of all four nations of the UK.
