E3B: Metals in Biology Early Career Researcher Conference Bursary
Closing Date: 02/07/2023
Funding for early career members of the Metals in Biology network to attend conferences relevant to metals in biology, including industrial biotechnology and bioenergy.
Elements of Bioremediation, Biomanufacturing and Bioenergy (EB3): Metals in Biology (MiB), based at the University of Durham, is one of six Phase II Networks in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy (NIBB) funded by the BBSRC for five years from January 2019. The objective of the NIBBs is to foster collaboration between academic researchers and businesses and support research and translation to build capacity and capability in the UK base for sustainable, biologically based manufacturing.
MiB administers the Early Career Researcher Conference Travel Fund to support early career members of the network, including PhD students and post docs within ten years of receiving their PhD, with the costs of attending conferences on topics relevant to metals in biology (eg the Cell Biology of Metals Gordon Conferences (GRC) and Gordon Research Seminars (GRS)).
