DGN Nuclear Medicine Awards

Annual awards for outstanding works in nuclear medical imaging.

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nuklearmedizin e.V. (DGN – German Society for Nuclear Medicine) promotes nuclear medicine in basic and applied research in the fields of diagnostics, therapy and radiation protection in Germany. The society supports scientific research via the following annual awards:

• Cuno Winkler Award: The prize aims to promote clinical nuclear medical imaging. It honours early-career scientists whose work has made a significant contribution to the generation of evidence for nuclear medical imaging. The award is given for works which focus on the results of a prospective clinical study with high potential for evidence generation in nuclear medical imaging.
• Nuclear Medicine Therapies Award (Preis für nuklearmedizinische Therapien): The prize honours scientific publications which make an outstanding contribution to the establishment or optimisation of nuclear medicine therapies.
• Award for Digital Transformation of Nuclear Medicine (Preis für Digitale Transformation der Nuklearmedizin): The prize promotes scientists working in the field of medical physics or image data processing. It honours high-ranking publications which contribute to the digital transformation of nuclear medicine.
• Georg von Hevesy Prize – Prize for Radiochemistry/Radiopharmacy and Experimental Nuclear Medicine: The award promotes scientists working in the field of radiochemistry/radiopharmacy or experimental nuclear medicine.
