DAAD – Study Visits and Study Seminars for Groups of Foreign Students to GermanyClosing Date: 01/11/2021
Funding for institutions of higher education in Germany or worldwide in order to facilitate study trips, seminars and degree-related training exercises in Germany.
The DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – German Academic Exchange Service) is the largest German support organisation in the field of international academic co-operation. The DAAD awards competitive, merit-based grants for use toward study and/or research in Germany at any of the accredited German higher education institutions (HEIs), and for German students to go abroad.
The DAAD now offers funding for institutions of higher education in Germany and abroad to conduct study visits, study seminars and practicals in Germany. Participating students must be enrolled in their second semester or higher in a de-gree programme at a foreign university and travel under the guidance and direction of a university teacher. Groups must be made up of at least 10 participants and must not exceed 15 persons. The trip must be independently organised and carried out by the university teacher who submitted the application.
The students should not finish their academic career with the study visit or study seminar. To ensure that the study visit or study seminar will be successful, participants must have a sufficient proficiency level either in German or in English.
For study seminars and practicals, the programme aims to encourage a policy of reciprocal invitation, although funding can also be provided for visits in only one direction.
