D-ECCO Research Grant

Closing Date: –

Research grants to enable dieticians specialising in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) to conduct a systematic research project under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

The European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), based in Austria, is a non-profit association focused on improving care for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), in particular its most common forms: Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. ECCO’s activities focus on Europe, as represented by its 36 member countries, and also extend to encourage collaboration worldwide.

ECCO administers several awards and grants, which are announced at its annual congress, to encourage and support innovative basic and clinical research in IBD and also research-supporting activities such as partnership development, travel for research purposes, etc.

The D-ECCO Research Grant aims to enable dieticians, who are inexperienced in research, to undertake a systematic research project in nutrition under the guidance of an experience researcher. Projects will be coordinated by a senior researcher and will be conducted by IBD dieticians in other European centres.
