Classical Association Outreach Grants

Small grants for outreach events to promote public awareness of the classics and classical studies.

The Classical Association is a charitably incorporated membership organisation that exists to promote the development and maintain the well-being of classical studies. The Association provides financial and practical support to support the teaching and study of the classical world, covering the history, civilisations, languages, art, material culture and legacy of ancient Greece and Rome and the broader ancient Mediterranean.

Within the framework of its grants programme, the Classical Association provides small grants to support outreach activities to promote public engagement with the classics.

Activities might include, for example:

• Public talks, interactive sessions or workshops on the classical world
• Regional Greek and Roman days involving local communities
• Theatrical performances where there is a significant outreach component
• Other outreach initiatives aimed at young people or the general public
