CEDEJ Contemporary Egypt Doctoral Fieldwork Grant

A doctoral grant is available to enable a visit to Egypt to complete fieldwork on a humanities and social sciences project relating to contemporary research of the country.
The Centre d’Études et de Documentation Économiques, Juridiques et Sociales (CEDEJ – Centre for Economic, Legal and Social Studies) is a research institution situated in Cairo, Egypt, that was created as a collaboration between Egypt and France. The Centre receives funding from CNRS and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. CEDJ engages in multidisciplinary research primarily concerning contemporary Egypt from a humanities and social sciences perspective. Of particular interest to the Centre are projects involving fieldwork in the country.
CEDEJ is offering a doctoral grant to support fieldwork relevant to its interests. The grant will support a mobility period in Egypt for a doctoral candidate to work in a team at the Centre on a humanities and social sciences project on the theme of contemporary Egypt, allowing them to benefit from the Centre’s scientific and logistical support.
