CCLG VIVO Biobank Pilot Grants
Closing Date: 19/07/2023
Grants for early career researchers to conduct pilot studies into childhood cancers using samples from the VIVO Biobank.
The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) is a leading support charity for children and young people with cancer and the professional association for those involved in the treatment and care of children with cancer in the UK and Ireland. CCLG is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) and provides a range of funding from its own resources, partner charities and named funds to support research in identified areas of need.
CCLG administers the VIVO Biobank Pilot Grants to support early career researchers at institutions in the UK conducting pilot studies in the field of childhood cancer research using samples from the VIVO Biobank. The grants will support defined research projects that will generate preliminary data for a further, larger research project or generate useful, publishable data.
Projects should refer to specific disease areas where there are samples available from the VIVO Biobank to support a study. Projects should also address one of the Top Ten Research Priorities for Childhood Cancer published by the Children’s Cancer Priority Setting Partnership, and result in a clear output, such as a publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
