Borne Pilot Project Grants

Funding for pilot projects to support the development of novel research ideas to improve the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of complications in pregnancy and labour to prevent premature birth, which have the potential to lead to major grant applications.

Borne is a medical research charity that focuses on supporting research to prevent premature birth, covering pregnancy and labour and conditions in pregnancy that may lead to preterm birth. Its objective is to save lives, prevent disability and create lifelong health for mothers and babies.

Borne is particularly interested in research that has translational potential for patient benefit and the development of diagnostic, treatment and prevention strategies to reduce the rate of preterm birth.

The Borne Pilot Project Grants support the development of novel research ideas with the potential to lead to major project grants. The grants provide funding over two years to support project costs.
