Blood Cancer UK has launched the ‘Ongoing COVID-19 Challenges – Understanding Individual Risk’ call in response to those affected by blood cancer and their concerns about the ongoing risk from COVID-19 infection and the impact this has on their daily lives.
Applications are invited for new or existing novel projects that seek to improve the understanding or assessment of individual COVID-19 risk levels for people affected by blood cancer. The research must provide a significant step towards impact for patients.
Examples of this could be:
- Development and validation of individual risk scores/algorithms.
- Development of tests or technologies to allow routine assessment and monitoring of levels of immunity at home.
- Research to build a risk matrix to inform clinical guidance.
