BASEM PhD Level Research Bursary

Funding to support British Association for Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) members to undertake doctoral-level research into a specified research topic at a UK institution.
The British Association for Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASEM) is a multidisciplinary membership organisation aiming to provide support and education to all professionals involved in the specialty.
BASEM is offering funding for one of its members to carry out doctoral-level research under the theme of: ‘The Role of Sport in Health’. This funding is intended by the Society as an investment in the training of a clinical academic in Sport and Exercise Medicine, with a focus on those topics which will significantly underpin the science base of the speciality.
The 2023 award is available to new registrations for PhD-level study and for those who are part way through a PhD study researching the designated theme. The PhD should be completed within five years.
