Closing Date: 15/08/2022

Funding to support early career researchers who have received their certificate of completion of training (CCT) in their medical specialism to progress towards research independence within the field of dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Society is a UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia. It aims to fund high-quality research into all areas of health and social care related to dementia.

The Society’s Post-CCT Career Development Grants offer support to enable promising early career clinical researchers to gather data and build their CV in preparation for the next stage in their career and the journey towards research independence.

Applicants must have received their certificate of completion of training (CCT) in their medical specialism and completed their PhD at the time of application. There is an expectation that the candidate will maintain and develop their professional practice-based skills and continue clinical practice on a part-time basis throughout the grant. Applicants must present a clear, attainable career plan upon application and demonstrate how this grant will enable them to pursue a career in dementia research.

Applications are accepted for research projects addressing key unanswered questions within the dementia field. Applicants should consider how their project can contribute to Alzheimer’s Society’s strategy and research mission.
