The Albert Viala Foundation, created in honour of legal professional Albert Viala, operates under the auspices of the Institut de France.
The annual Albert Viala Prize is intended to reward a piece of written work, whether of a literary or legal nature, focusing on the defence of fundamental freedoms. The work may be published or unpublished but must be written in French.
Applicants may submit any kind of written work including: PhD thesis, scientific article, press article, report, testimony, book, fiction essay etc.
